HubSpot CMS Hub · Content Hub migration

HubSpot CMS to WordPress migration. Lower cost, more flexibility, HubSpot CRM stays.

HubSpot CMS Hub costs $300-$1,200/month. Most companies using it are paying for a website platform to support the HubSpot CRM and marketing tools they actually need, not the CMS itself. We migrate the website to WordPress (dramatically lower cost), maintain all HubSpot marketing tool integrations, and preserve your SEO rankings through the switch.

Our approach

Only the CMS moves. Everything else stays connected.

We migrate the website itself to WordPress and leave your HubSpot CRM, forms, and tracking exactly where they are, reconnected through HubSpot’s own embed code. The site is rebuilt on staging, every old URL gets a 301 redirect, and the price is fixed after a review of your HubSpot setup.

What we do

The real reasons marketing and ops teams move off HubSpot CMS.

Cost reduction

HubSpot CMS Hub at Professional tier ($450/month) or Enterprise ($1,200/month) is expensive for what is, at its core, a CMS. Most of that cost is being paid to maintain website hosting on HubSpot when the same website could run on managed WordPress hosting for $30-$100/month. The HubSpot CRM and Marketing Hub subscriptions can stay, only the CMS moves.

Design and development flexibility

HubSpot’s drag-and-drop editor and HubL template language are more limited than WordPress’s ecosystem. Custom designs require HubSpot developer expertise that’s harder to find than WordPress expertise. WordPress gives designers and developers more control without the CMS-specific constraints.

Plugin and extension ecosystem

WordPress’s 60,000+ plugin ecosystem covers virtually any feature requirement, e-commerce, course platforms, job boards, directory sites, complex forms, and more. HubSpot’s CMS module marketplace is far smaller, and custom development in HubL is more specialized.

Developer talent availability

HubSpot CMS developers are a specialized subset. WordPress developers are one of the largest developer communities in the world, easier and cheaper to find, both for agencies and in-house hires. Moving to WordPress expands your vendor and hiring options significantly.

Separating CMS cost from CRM cost

Many companies adopted HubSpot CMS because it was included in a sales CRM bundle or because sales recommended it. As the marketing team evaluates the total spend, separating the CMS bill from the CRM bill often reveals that the CMS portion is not delivering value proportionate to its cost.

Keeping HubSpot where it works

HubSpot CRM, email marketing, lead nurturing, forms, and live chat continue working perfectly after a CMS migration. HubSpot’s JavaScript embed code goes on your WordPress site exactly as it would on any website. The move off HubSpot CMS does not affect any other HubSpot product.

Our process

How we move your HubSpot CMS site to WordPress.

1

Content audit and HubSpot API export

Export all pages, blog posts, landing pages, and media via HubSpot's API and export tools. Document all URLs, redirects already in place, and any HubSpot-specific modules in use.

2

WordPress build on staging

Design and build the WordPress site, matching or improving the visual design. HubSpot form embeds, tracking codes, and chatbot configurations set up in WordPress before content import.

3

Content import

Blog posts imported via WordPress importer or custom scripts. Pages rebuilt in WordPress with matching content. Media library migrated. All internal links updated to WordPress URLs.

4

URL redirect mapping

Every HubSpot URL mapped to its WordPress equivalent. 301 redirects configured for all old paths including blog posts at /blog/ and HubSpot landing page URLs like /hs/.

5

Launch and HubSpot disconnection

DNS cutover to new WordPress hosting. HubSpot CMS subscription downgraded or canceled. HubSpot CRM/Marketing retains all form submissions, contact records, and historical data.

HubSpot to WordPress pricing

Small site (under 30 pages + blog) $4,500 – $8,000 New WordPress design + content migration + redirects

Medium site (30-150 pages) $8,000 – $18,000 Full content migration, HubSpot integration setup, redirect mapping

Large site (150+ pages) Custom quote Scoped after content audit. Includes full redirect mapping.

Common questions

HubSpot to WordPress migration questions.

No. All your CRM data, contact records, email lists, form submissions history, and marketing automation workflows live in HubSpot’s CRM/Marketing products, not in the CMS. Migrating the website has no effect on any of that data. After migration, your HubSpot forms are embedded on your WordPress site via the HubSpot JavaScript tracking code exactly as they were before. New form submissions still flow into HubSpot. The only thing that changes is where the website itself is hosted.

HubSpot Smart Content (content that changes based on visitor lifecycle stage or list membership) is a HubSpot CMS-specific feature. After migrating to WordPress, you’d lose native smart content unless you implement a workaround, typically via HubSpot’s JavaScript API or conditional content plugins on WordPress that use HubSpot contact data. Most companies migrating from HubSpot CMS either don’t use smart content extensively or find that the cost savings justify simplifying this feature. We assess your smart content usage during the audit phase and advise accordingly.

Not if the migration is done correctly. Blog posts on HubSpot CMS typically live at paths like /blog/post-name or /your-company.hs-sites.com/post-name. We map every post URL to the exact same or equivalent WordPress URL and configure 301 redirects so Google follows the canonical URL change. Posts that migrate to the same URL path (e.g., /blog/post-name on both HubSpot and WordPress) require no redirect. We verify the full crawl post-launch and monitor Search Console for any ranking changes in the first 30 days.

It is quoted individually after a review, since HubSpot sites vary in size and integration depth. Typical projects run several thousand dollars and 3 to 6 weeks, with a fixed price agreed before work starts.

Yes. You can keep using HubSpot’s CRM, forms, and marketing tools while the website itself runs on WordPress. We embed or rebuild HubSpot forms so leads still flow into your CRM exactly as before.

Cost and flexibility. HubSpot CMS Hub is expensive per page and limited in design freedom, while the CRM is genuinely strong. Many teams run the site on WordPress for control and savings, and keep HubSpot for sales and marketing.

The blog moves to WordPress with every post, image, and date preserved, and each HubSpot URL redirected to its new address. Rankings and inbound links carry over because the content and structure stay intact.

Personalization is rebuilt where it matters using WordPress tools or a kept HubSpot integration. We review which smart-content rules drive real value and reproduce those, rather than copying every rule for its own sake.

Yes. HubSpot tracking, forms, and analytics can stay connected through their WordPress integration, and we can add GA4 alongside. Your lead capture and reporting continue without a gap.

No. We build and test everything on staging, keep forms wired to your CRM, and cut over at the DNS level with no downtime. Live campaigns keep capturing leads throughout the move.

We have a solution for all your challenges.
